Voice input and listen-back

Two different features: speaking a prayer and listening to Real Talk.

Speak a prayer

On WRITE, tap the mic next to the prayer box. Allow microphone access if asked. Speak plainly. Stop the mic when you are done. The words land in the box so you can edit before Real Talk.

This is for the prayer box only. Sermon recordings are transcribed after you stop, not while you are still recording. See Recording sermons.

If the mic button does nothing, tap the button itself (not only the icon). Make sure Unfiltered Grace has microphone permission in your phone or browser settings.

Listen to Real Talk

After a Real Talk response you can play it back. Faithful and Unfiltered plans use premium voices. The free Grace plan uses your device’s built-in voice.

If you hear the device voice on a paid plan, we show a banner when the premium voice is unavailable. Try again, or pick another voice in Profile. Playback needs a network connection.

Permissions

• Microphone — speaking a prayer on WRITE, and live sermon recording on RECORD.
• On iPhone, sermon recording that must keep going when the screen locks works in the Unfiltered Grace app. Safari (or a home-screen bookmark of the website) will often drop the mic when the phone sleeps.
