Terms of Service

1. The Service

Unfiltered Grace is a prayer journal and sermon capture application. Features may include writing and saving prayers and journal entries; AI-generated "Real Talk" devotionals; recording, uploading, or importing sermon audio; transcription and AI-assisted sermon notes; text-to-speech playback; share links; PDF export; and related tools. Features may change over time, and some require a paid plan or may be limited by usage quotas.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and login credentials (including Google, Sign in with Apple, and email/password).
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You may not share your account or use another person's account without permission.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

3. Subscriptions, Plans, and Usage

We offer a free Grace plan and paid Daily, Faithful, and Unfiltered plans, each with different limits on Church (sermon) processing hours, Real Talk generations, premium voice plays, and other features. Current prices and limits are shown in the Service (Pricing and Usage & billing) and may differ slightly between the website and the App Store because each store uses its own price points.

• Quotas. Usage allowances reset on a calendar-month basis as described in the app, generally on the 1st of each month in UTC, unless we state otherwise.
• Website billing.Purchases made in a browser use Stripe Checkout. Recurring charges use the card (or other method) you provide to Stripe. Manage or cancel from Usage & billing → Manage billing (Stripe Customer Portal). Taxes may apply.
• iPhone billing (App Store).Purchases made in the Unfiltered Grace iPhone app use Apple In-App Purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation. Subscriptions auto-renew unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel in iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or use Restore Purchases in Usage & billing. Apple's terms and refund rules apply to those charges. Family Sharing is not offered for these subscriptions.
• One paid source. If you already have a paid website (Stripe) plan or an admin grant, the iPhone app will not sell you a second subscription. If you already have an Apple subscription, manage it through Apple rather than starting a duplicate website checkout for the same period.
• Android billing (Google Play).Purchases made in the Unfiltered Grace Android app use Google Play Billing. Payment is charged through your Google account. Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or manage from Usage & billing. Restore Purchases is available in Usage & billing. Google's terms and refund rules apply to those charges. Website Stripe Checkout remains available in a regular browser outside the Play shell.
• Overages. If you exceed a plan limit, we may block or throttle the related feature until the next reset or until you upgrade.
• Refunds.Website (Stripe) fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase. App Store refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
• Comp / admin grants. We may grant free plan upgrades at our discretion; such grants may be revoked or changed.

4. Your Content

"Your Content" means prayers, notes, transcripts, audio, titles, and other material you submit to the Service.

• You retain ownership of Your Content.
• You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service (including transcription, AI responses, storage, sharing you enable, and PDF/export features).
• You represent that you have the rights needed to submit Your Content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.
• Public share links make the shared entry accessible to anyone with the link until it expires or is revoked. You are responsible for what you choose to share.

5. AI and Automated Features

The Service uses third-party artificial intelligence and speech services to generate devotionals, sermon notes, transcripts, and speech audio. The active providers may include xAI/Grok (which provides Real Talk, sermon notes, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech), Google Gemini (which may provide Real Talk when configured as the active large-language model; sermon notes always use xAI), and third-party transcription providers. The active Real Talk or text-to-speech provider for your account may vary depending on configuration and availability; only the active provider processes your content for that feature. By using these features, you acknowledge that your prayer text, devotional content, sermon transcripts, and (when enabled) devotional text are sent to the active provider to produce the response.

• AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. It is not a substitute for Scripture study, pastoral care, counseling, medical, legal, or other professional advice.
• You should exercise discernment and verify important matters independently.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of AI features or any particular model or voice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, harassing, or abusive purposes
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service, or circumvent usage limits or security
• Upload malware or content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with us
• Use the Service to build a competing product using our proprietary materials or abuse of APIs

7. Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, design, branding (such as Unfiltered Grace names and logos), and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors. Except for the limited rights needed to use the Service, no license is granted. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our branding or software without permission.

8. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you also acknowledge that policy.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service depends on third parties (for example authentication and hosting providers, AI and speech APIs, Stripe, Apple, Google Play Billing, and optional video transcript providers). Their terms and availability are outside our full control. Apple's Media Services Terms and App Store terms apply to Sign in with Apple and In-App Purchases. Links or integrations do not mean we endorse third-party sites.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT CONTENT (INCLUDING AI OUTPUT) WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED.

12. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your Unfiltered Grace account in the Service: open Edit profile → Delete account, type DELETE to confirm, then Permanently delete. Cancel any paid subscription where you subscribed (Stripe Customer Portal, Apple Subscriptions, or Google Play Subscriptions) if you do not want further charges. Deleting your Unfiltered Grace account does not by itself cancel Apple, Google Play, or Stripe billing. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity) will survive.

14. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by notice in the app or by email. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections of your place of residence apply. Courts in Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.

16. General

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on this subject. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
